It was the beautiful season of the year – Autumn.

The time when the trees shed their leaves and stand up straight ready to welcome the white snowy coats to cover them. The amazingly beautiful park was covered with orange, red, yellow color leaves – she walked and picked them to feel the beauty. Everything around her was alluring. She didn’t know where to look and where to click. She wished she could gather all this beauty in her heart and cherish it forever.

It was indeed difficult.

The combination of multi-colored trees and the green grass almost swept her mind off. She walked and walked along the path, cherishing the moments she has soaking with this beauty. The weather was cold and she was trying to warm her up in her jackets. The wind was tickling her soft fingers, giving little cold as it goes by. She kept her hands inside her pockets and walked past the park, then to bridge that connects to her home.

As she reached one-fourth of the bridge, she couldn’t take her eyes off the beauty around. She stood there, watching the ripples in the water and the spectacular beauty around her. The soft breeze was pampering her as if she was a feather floating along the wind.

She stood there lost in her thoughts for a while.

Time swept by, she never knew. In the end, she could see it was the sun setting and warning her it is getting darker soon. In the bright redness of the setting sun, the autumn flowers were impeccable. The mixture of redness was soaking in the atmosphere. She watched the sun set down for his good night sleep while walking up to her home.

As soon as she reached it was dark and everything was same everywhere, overshadowed by the night sky, big black blankets covering up the whole world.

She finished her chores and climbed up to her cozy bed to feel snuggled in the cold night. She craved for warmth and love. She wrapped her up in the blankets and with the beautiful dream in her eyes slept to the melody played by the breeze in her ears. She slept peacefully to open up her eye to another beautiful day in her life.

Nightfall- the blissful nature

The whole sky was lit bright stars and in those dark roads down to home, the stars lit their path. The shiniest one seems to look at her and twinkle, every time her shining starry eyes looked at it. The stars and the path were filled with memories and were overwritten by the new memories.

The journey was endless, she just wished that time stopped there, amidst the calm and pristine valleys and mountains. She felt like soaking herself in the fresh air and the cool mist. She wanted to float like a feather in the dense air, feel like being in nature. She felt the coldness, the cool breeze that was kissing her face, her neck and everywhere. Nature was fondling her, she felt like she is in her mother’s lap.

The thickets of green trees and bushes, that was bordering her pathway, was like bouquets of freshness and the essence was booming all around her. The joy of being in the lap of nature, made her feel alive again. The cool gush of air, she felt like liberating from her body and fly like a bird all around.

The view from the top was so immense, that she could just perish into the thin air and feel the love of nature. She wanted to cherish every moment under the starry lit sky and live like a child born to nature.

The urge to jump from the top and fly like a bird was intense, but her dreams knew she was not a bird to fly around, but to caged in this human form.  The nightfall made the place spectacular, that her eyes could never stop watching the beauty overflowing. The starts guided her all along and the breeze sang melodies in her ears.

All she could feel was the love and fresh breath of the universe around her. The endless love that she keeps hidden in her soul.

She realized how much she has been away from this impeccable beauty and wished to plunge into this warmth of the universe and forget herself forever.

A Christmas Memory

As she was away from home, away from everything back in her native place. The newfound place was totally unfamiliar. It was a cool winter snowy morning and although she knew she is new to the place, she wants to walk around the place and enjoy what is there hidden too. Her eyes always strayed across to find something that is different and cherishes them forever. The building and the snow covered streets were something she has been seeing ever since she arrived in Swiss. It was only a first-time fascination about the new place.

The coldness crept onto her body. It was like every part of her was going numb. The coldness crawled into her, slowly moving up to her lips and making it dry, then she felt nothing. Her snow kissed lips and hands were loosing the sign of warmthness. She realized it too soon and wore her gloves, and it was all like she was in some other hot hands. The coldness slowly slid out of her sleeves, giving her tiny hands the warmth. The warmth she was longing for.

As she walked little further away from her apartment with her kid in hand. She reached some busy streets. All red, green, shiny decorations on the walls. It was then she realized it was “Christmas”. She bends down to tell her daughter “its Christmas dear”.

They both walked down the walkways watching many purchase items for their Christmas, the streets were filled with small wooden huts, well decorated with bells, tinsels, string lights, ribbons, wreaths etc. The smell of fresh baked bread was filling in the cold air. The snow has never stopped them, they all were busy purchasing and wishing each other.

Everybody Smiled at her, even though none knew her. It was a happy place, there was friendliness in the air. Age or illness never stopped them from being outside their homes. She enjoyed the friendliness and the aura of the place.

“Mamma see a giant Christmas tree “, pointed her daughter. As they both stood watching the giant Xmas tree, she could recollect joy of celebrating Christmas in her old times.

It was entirely different as compared to this. There were Santas, angels singing Carols, sweets, balloons and Churches all decked up and streets packed with people. The Plum cakes which she used to get at homes and much more.

Every place celebrates the joy of Christmas in a different way. She enjoyed the day in the snow land and happily cherished the memory of a hi-fi Xmas and brought her family a good cake to cut in and have. The beauty was indeed something more to Cherish in.

In loving memory of a long Lost Christmas in Snow.

School days taught me much -which I realised lately

It is a holiday time again..

And yet another roller coaster ride for coming 10 days.

All the school things remind me of my school and childhood days. The fun days, the carefree part of our childhood. Evey child must enjoy their childhood, the best part of the life where you are never blamed for being happy or sad. Rather than crushed in the turmoil of harsh competitions let them enjoy the most of their school days.
I see parents so confused on what their child should pursue and do …but in my case… there were not many thoughts to buy..we all led the life, as it came along to us and welcomed them as it was.

In my school times, I used to enjoy everything that comes around from small competitions (in order to get out of classes and tests) and any sports or annual day. My whole point of being always in school was to be a part of all the activities, enjoy to the most and cherish every fond memory.

I may not be popular or ‘the best’ but I always loved the company of anyone who tagged along with me. I liked being at school. It was the only place I felt like second home, as my mom was a teacher, I was always on the school premises.

Instead of being at home… all day waiting for your mom who is in school, it was good to be in school munching around something from the canteen with the little pocket money I got.

Even the empty classroom, the empty boards, and benches, never made me upset. I loved the company of my teachers and at times their kids.

This is how I learned to manage on my own…through my mom… I never realized that all these I was learning all the way through my childhood to my current stage. Every child learns at the time they are born. The funny game of learning new skills, that no school can teach or books.
